" Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah"

"The Ballroom Blitz"

Are you ready, Steve? Uh-ha!
Andy? Yeah!
Mick? Okay.
All right, fellows, let's go!

Oh, it's been getting so hard
Livin' with the things you do to me, ah-ha
My dreams are getting so strange
I'd like to tell you everything I see, mm

Oh, I see a man at the back as a matter of fact
His eyes are red as the sun
And a girl in the corner, let no one ignore her
'Cause she thinks she's the passionate one

Oh yeah, it was like lightning
Everybody was frightening
And the music was soothing
And they all started grooving
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

And the man at the back said: "Everyone attack"
And it turned into a ballroom blitz
And the girl in the corner said: "Boy, I wanna warn ya"
It'll turn into a ballroom blitz
Ballroom blitz
Ballroom blitz
Ballroom blitz
Ballroom blitz

Oh, I'm reaching out for something
Touching nothing's all I ever do
Oh, I softly call you over
When you appear, there's nothing left of you, ah-ha

Now the man at the back is ready to crack
As he raises his hands to the sky
And the girl in the corner is everyone's mourner
She could kill you with a wink of her eye

Oh yeah, it was electric
So frantically hectic
And the band started leaving
'Cause they all stopped breathing
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

And the man at the back said: "Everyone attack"
And it turned into a ballroom blitz
And the girl in the corner said: "Boy, I wanna warn ya"
It'll turn into a ballroom blitz
Ballroom blitz

Oh yeah, it was like lightning
Everybody was frightening
And the music was soothing
'Cause they all started grooving
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

And the man at the back said: "Everyone attack"
And it turned into a ballroom blitz
And the girl in the corner said: "Boy, I wanna warn ya"
It'll turn into a ballroom blitz
Ballroom blitz
Ballroom blitz
Ballroom blitz
Ballroom blitz

It's, it's a ballroom blitz
It's, it's a ballroom blitz
It's, it's a ballroom blitz
Yeah, it's a ballroom blitz

Sweet - Fox On The Run
Writers - CONNOLLY BRIAN FRANCIS, PRIEST STEPHEN NORMAN

Let me know if you know the meaning behind the lyrics?

"Fox On The Run"

I don't wanna know your name
'Cause you don't look the same
The way you did before
O.K. you think you got a pretty face
But the rest of you is out of place
You looked alright before

Fox on the run
You scream and everybody comes a running
Take a run and hide yourself away
Foxy is on the run
F-foxy
Fox on the run and hide away

You, you talk about just every band
But the names you drop are second hand (second hand)
I've heard it all before
I don't wanna know your name
'Cause you don't look the same
The way you did before

Fox on the run
You scream and everybody comes a running
Take a run and hide yourself away
Foxy on the run
F-foxy
Fox on the run and hide away

F-foxy
Fox on the run
You scream and everybody comes a running
Take a run and hide yourself away
Foxy on the run
F-foxy
Fox on the run and hide away
Fox on the run
Fox on the run
Fox on the run
Fox on the run
Fox on the run

Hollywood Seven (1976)
Written by: GLORIA SKLEROV, HARRY LLOYD

Jon English (26 March 1949 – 9 March 2016) was an English-born Australian singer, songwriter, musician and actor. He emigrated from England to Australia in 1961 with his parents.

Extraordinary performer and Australia was so lucky to have Jon.

"Hollywood Seven" Lyrics

She came in one night from Omaha
Worn out, 'cause she could never sleep on trains
Took a bus to Hollywood
Looking for a room in the pouring rain
Her hair so blonde, her eyes so brown
She thought she'd take this town and turn it upside down

I was living in a hotel just off sunset
She moved in across the hall
She said she'd be a movie star
So she waited every morning for the call
I'd ask her in for coffee
But she hardly had the time
Her call might come tomorrow
And she had to know her lines

Hollywood Seven
Rooms to rent
Till your name goes up in lights
Hollywood Seven
You can dream your dreams for seven bucks a night

The months went by without a job
The money that she'd saved was nearly spent
She started bringing strangers home
Had to find a way to pay the rent
Staring at the ceiling
While she'd give herself away
Just busy rehearsing in her mind
The scenes she'd never play

Jon English

Turn the Page (1974)
Songwriter: Bob Seger

RIP Jon. An awesome entertainer and actor. This recording is off a vinyl. Your music will live on and be remembered.

"Turn the Page" Lyrics

On a long and lonesome highway, east of Omaha
You can listen to the engine moanin' out it's one note song
You can think about the woman or the girl you knew the ni-i-ight before
But your thoughts will soon be wanderin' the way they always do
When you're ridin' sixteen hours and there's nothin' there to do
And you don't feel much like writin', you just wish the trip was throu-ou-ough
Here I a-am, on the road again
Here I a-am, on the stage
Here I go-o, playin' star again
Here I go-o, turn the page
Well you walk into a restaurant all strung out from the road
And you can feel the eyes upon you as you're shakin' off the cold
You pretend it doesn't bother you but you just want to ExPLODE...
Sometimes you can't hear them talk, but other times you can
And it's the same old cliches, is it woman, is it man
And you always seem outnumbered so you don't dare make a sta-a-and
Here I a-am, I'm on the road again
Here I a-am, I'm up on the sta-a-a-age
Here I go-o, I'm playin' star again
Here I go-o, turn the page
Out there in the spotlight you're a million miles away
And every ounce of energy you try to give away
As the sweat pours out your body like the music that you play-ay-ay
Later in the evenin' as you lie awake in bed
With the echoes of the amplifiers ringin' in your head
You smoke the day's last cigarette, rememberin' what she sai-ai-aid
Here I a-am, I'm on the road again
Here I a-am, I'm on the stage
Here I go-o, I'm playin' star again
Here I go-o, turn the page
Oh, here I a-am, I'm on the road again
Ah here I a-am, I'm on the stage
Here I go-o, I'm playin' star again
