Safe can openers? Send your suggestions this way.

My current opener is a casualty machine. Leaves sharp, jagged edges and puts fingers in harm's way.

OXO have a smooth edge can opener. I don't own the can opener, although I do have a OXO whisk, peeler and mixing bowl. They're good.

The can opener claims to leave no sharp edges on the can or the lid.

Never underestimate the sharpness of cans & can openers!! really dangerous. I've had my share of near misses. I now use an electric can opener. It's a Kenwood. It works! Although I've never had any other electric opener to compare.

It's a can opener, not a can't opener. It's all in the mindset. Go fix yourself. ;)

Don't risk your fingers. I found this one.

Open cans smoothly and easily with the Hamilton Beach® Smooth Touch™ Can Opener. An easy push down lever makes quick work of removing both pop-top and regular cans.

Unlike most can openers, the Hamilton Beach® Smooth Touch™ Can Opener is designed so the blade cuts along the side and not into the top of the can. This minimizes the blades contact with food and prevents splashing or seeping out from the top since the can remains closed until you lift the lid. The result is a mess-free, smooth cut that allows you to remove the top without worrying about sharp edges along the lid.

The large ergonomic lever is easy for anyone to use. Operation requires little grip strength, just hold lever down until the blade has made a full rotation around the can.

With its sleek chrome and black design, this functional can opener blends well with other countertop appliances and makes a classic addition to your home.

Easy to Use

Step 1 - Place can against the front of can opener until rim is under cutting mechanism.
Step 2 - Hold the lever down until the can has completed ONE ROTATION ONLY.
Step 3 - Remove lid by simply lifting the top of the can off.

Trusted tools for every busy kitchen.
Hamilton Beach Can Openers take some of the work out of meal preparation. Hamilton Beach Can Openers are made with convenience in mind, so they’re always easy to use and even easier to clean.

Did you know?
It is estimated that most households in the United States use approximately 600 steel cans each year. That’s a lot to open. With the Hamilton Beach® Smooth Touch™ Can Opener you have a safe, effective way to open each can in seconds.
