I'm visiting a good friend far away but she have no spare beds at her house!! Her lounge is a two seater, so that's not an option!

She was lovely to have offered her sleeping bag although I don't sleep well on the floor. I was explaining that I'd become a mega grump from poor sleep. Not fun!

The best option for me is an air bed or air mattress (no smaller than a double). They do need a pump (completely unfamiliar with these!).

What are the most comfortable air mattresses out there? Can they be pumped to a certain firmness? I prefer firm mattresses.

Boating, camping and fishing (BCF) sell air beds. They can cost anywhere between $45 to $150.

Thank you! I'm set on the queen model with the pump built in. Less fuss :)
