There's an array of non-caffeinated teas that can be consumed before bedtime to assist sleep including chamomile, passionflower and valerian teas. I've found these useful videos to help you select a quality loose leaf tea.

Qualities to search for when selecting chamomile tea.

Selecting a tea based on a SCOPE analysis.

S - Season
Spring picked tea is generally considered to be of the highest quality. Note there are exceptions for certain varieties.

C - Cultivar
Variety determines the taste.

O - Origin
Where the tea was picked.

P - Picking & Processing
The part of the pant used and the method for which tea is processed.

E - Elevation
The altitude the tea is grown at. A tea grown at a higher elevation may have less pesticides and will create a richer brew.

The flavor and efficacy of properties is a whole science in itself.
