Does anyone have any experiences going solar?

I'm considering going solar powered myself, so I'm just asking whether it is worth the switch.

Solar power is somewhat of a gamble of an investment.

This article explains why:

It basically depends on the amount of money per kilowatt hour. Due to the expense of the grid, it will take a while to make an overall saving for what you would pay with electricity.

Nope. solar panels lose their mojo after 10 years and need replacing - thats if you buy rubbish.
