Yeah computers were primitive then but this one is a mega fail. The Coleco Adam (1983) produced an electromagnetic surge on startup. Unless you're too young, you can guess what that does. Tapes resting near on in the computer were wiped clean aaaaannnd the software for the coleco was installed on them.

Now share yours. :)

Looked like a good computer if it didn't null the tapes.

Nokia Ngage attempted to combine a mobile and a handheld game console in one.

Ergonomic nightmare.

Oh boy, that's one nasty machine.

A fail of a tech trend was netbooks. Terrible to use. Full sized operating system on a small screen.

- Cramped keyboard
- Low resolution screen
- Small mousepad
- Slow processor

The only positive was a good battery life.

Yeah netbooks were only good for word processing.
"Excellent battery life" implies one of two things. Slow processor or a massive battery. Usually it's a slow processor.

That's true. Most netbooks used Intel Atom.

The 2016 Samsung Galaxy Note 7 was a fire hazard and so were hoverboards.

Didn't the note 7 cause a problem for passengers on a flight? Charging hoverboards have started fires. I think it ruined it for hoverboards.

Yes! I stopped using my netbook after less than a year!

The trend died within 2 years. They didn't have the processing power for simple games and made web browsing painfully slow. Netbooks have been replaced by tablet laptop hybrids. Much much much better.
