This video seems to prove that 3D printed heads can bypass facial recognition on everyday phones:

Facial recognition is too controversial. It's already been banned by San Francisco:

Who would have thought that 21 century problems would include 3D printing someone's face to gain access to their personal device. Keep it banned. Once 3d printers become more and more accessible, people can print faces from selfies posted online.

This does show that software still has its issues.

Overall software is getting smarter to vulnerabilities like these

3D printers aren't that fast. By the time you blueprint and print someone's head and take their phone, they would've used location services to track down where their device is. Busted.
