Does anyone have any ideas about good brands of cat litter?

I've been using paper shreddings for at least two years now, but I think I'm ready for a change. The cat that I have seems to be getting sick and tired of it, and it seems that he prefers going outside.

NEVER EVER PURCHASE clay or clumping clay litter. That stuff is horrible. Kills animals.

It has been responsible for animal deaths... cats lick themselves after being in the litterbox and the clay swells 15x the size it is when dry. The dust makes them ill.

& it's heavy and you can't flush it down the toilet.

Doing their business outside isn't a problem! In fact my cats go outside in the morning and it saves money on kitty litter. Keep using paper it's by far the best option - biodegradable, compostable and cheaper.

I hate cat litter. Its a tonne of mess to clean up every week. Other than that cats are pretty easy to take care of.
